Corn plastic bag is a degradable environmentally friendly plastic bag. It is made from starch-saturated corn, firstly extracting colorless and transparent liquid lactic acid through modern biotechnology, and then through a special polymerization process to generate granular polymer material – polylactic acid particles. The plastic bags made of this biopolymer material can be disposed of by composting and landfilling. Under the action of natural microorganisms, they can be completely decomposed into water and carbon dioxide, and can be used as organic fertilizers and applied to farmland to become plant nutrients.
The price of such super-film plastic bags produced from substances extracted from corn can be similar to that of PE floor film under the national standard, suitable for making cling film, and also has the advantage of replacing PET and PP packaging in candy, tobacco, tea, etc. Future development, with degradable corn plastic bags will gradually replace the non-degradable plastic bags used in supermarkets, leading the international environmental protection trend
